What does white water rafting in Albania cost?

Across the country, a half-day guided white water rafting trip in Albania runs from roughly €30 to €60 per person, depending on the river and the operator. At €35 for adults and €30 for children, a Vjosa trip with us sits at the lower end of that range — and unlike some operators we do not charge separately for equipment, transport to the put-in, or the guide.

The Vjosa is the only large free-flowing river left in Europe, so the rafting Albania cost you pay here buys a run that genuinely cannot be repeated anywhere else on the continent.

How you pay

Pay in full by card or PayPal when you book online, or pay the whole amount in cash when you arrive. There is no deposit and nothing is held on your card.

How the price compares

The same style of guided white water rafting costs roughly €50 to €80 on the Soča in Slovenia, €80 to €120 on the Tara in Montenegro, and €80 to €150 in Austria. The Vjosa is the only one of those that still runs undammed from source to sea.

If your plans change

Bookings are non-refundable, whatever notice you give. What you can do instead, free of charge: move your trip to another date, or pass your places to someone else. Your booking stays valid for 365 days from your original trip date. In genuinely exceptional circumstances we may agree a partial refund, keeping 20% to 50% to cover bank and payment-processor fees.

Common questions about the price

Is there a booking fee?

No. The price you see is the price you pay. No booking fee, no card surcharge, no deposit.

Do I pay more at the base?

No. Equipment, guide and transport to and from the river are all in the €35.

Can I pay in Albanian lek?

Yes, cash at the base can be paid in lek at the day’s rate, or in euro.
